JCC Maccabi Games

Join over 1,000 Jewish teens from around the world this summer at the JCC Maccabi Games®—an international sporting event for Jewish teens between 13–16 years old.  All athletes are home-housed and get to experience the massive nighttime social events.  Picture Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties with over 1,000 Jewish teens!

Stone Crabs Swim Team

Ages 6-18. This aquatics program is for beginners through ultra-competitive swimmers and is offered through Stone Crabs Swim Team.  Youth must be able to swim two strokes for 25 meters. For more information, contact Tara Harris, Director of Sports & Aquatics, at TaraH@orlandojcc.org

Swimmers have the choice to swim one, two, three or four days per week at 4:00pm, 5:00p, or 6:00pm. Swimmers can attend any day/time that works for their schedule.

Performing Arts Programs

Piano Lessons

Take private lessons from Eric Levine, who will teach any level from beginner to advanced.  He will have you playing like Mozart in no time! Lessons are 30 minutes. Please contact Mr. Eric at 407-256-4628 to sign up for specific days and times and then pay at the Registrar before the session starts.

Guitar Lessons

In our Rockstar Academy, students can take private guitar lessons, from the fundamentals and beginnings, all the way through the classics you hear on the radio!  These weekly lessons are 30 minutes and can be private (1:1) or semi-private (1:2 or 1:3).  Contact Ron Duncan at (407) 792-9337 for scheduling and group lesson pricing.

HaZamir: Community High School Choir

Grades 9-12. Become a part of the Orlando chapter of an international movement through this Jewish choir meeting on Sundays at the JCC. For more information, contact Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer

Social & Service

Tayarim Connect

Join 6th-8th graders throughout the community for social, Judaic and community service programs! Tayarim Connect offers positive experiences to middle school students where they can get together with camp, school, and synagogue friends, as well as meet new friends.  Tayarim Connect provides a safe space for teens to strengthen their identities, form social circles, and prepare for high school and beyond. North Florida Region BBYO

BBYO is a pluralistic youth-led organization open to all Jewish teens in the 9th through 12th grade, and offers a BBYO Connection programs for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. BBYO provides opportunities for Jewish youth to develop their leadership potential, a positive Jewish identity and commitment to their personal development. Based at The Roth Family JCC, the North Florida Region (NFR) spans from Jacksonville to the North and Ft. Myers on the South West. NFR currently has several active chapters in Orlando (four active chapters in Maitland, South Orlando and East Orlando/Oviedo), Sarasota, Tampa and Naples and is made up of unique programming for boys Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA), and B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG). The J-Serve Teen Task Force is a unique leadership opportunity for Jewish teens in grades 8-12. The Task Force is comprised of teens who have a desire to lead their peers in community service, representing all local Jewish youth groups. The beginning months are spent primarily on teambuilding, selecting a theme and then creating an action plan. Teens learn all aspects of event planning from marketing to fundraising and outreach to programming. Local professionals share their expertise with the Task Force and Judaic themes are thoughtfully interwoven throughout the program. Meetings are once per month from September-December and twice per month from January-April. Teens must apply and be selected to participate and limited spots are available. Summer Camp

Camp J

Grades 6-9

Tayarim Teen Travel Camp includes exciting days at the JCC on Mondays and Fridays (including electives), local field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and community service projects around the community on Wednesdays. Plus, teens will venture off on an overnight trip outside of our JCC once per two-week session.

Grade 10

Camp J’s Leaders-in-Training Program contains 3 core components: leadership training, hands-on counselor skills guidance, and fun, social programming.  Each two-week session will focus on a new topic and the opportunity to work with different age-groups at camp.  LITs will also have the opportunity to partake in special camp electives created just for them!  Full two-week registration required.  Upon successful completion of each 2-week LIT Program, participants will receive a minimum of 45 community service hours and automatic consideration for the highly competitive Assistant Counselor positions at Camp J the following summer.
