Join over 1,000 Jewish teens from around the world this summer at the JCC Maccabi Games®—an international sporting event for Jewish teens between 13–16 years old.  All athletes are home-housed and get to experience the massive nighttime social events.  Picture Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties with over 1,000 Jewish teens!

Co-Ed Teen Basketball League  

Grades 6-9. Score points and make friendships in this league just for middle schoolers and young teens. We’ll draft your child onto a team, which will play 7 games, as well as a single-elimination tournament. This is a one-hour, twice-per-week commitment, with practices on Tuesdays and games on Thursdays. Registration begins 8/28.

Co-Ed Flag Football League

Grades 5-8. Score touchdowns and make friendships in this league just for older kids and middle schoolers. We’ll draft your child onto a team, which will play 7 games, plus playoffs. This is a once-a-week commitment on Sunday afternoons. Registration begins 8/21.

Fast Lane Aquatics

Private Tennis Lessons

Private individual tennis lessons are a great opportunity for all ages.  Private lessons give individual-based structure and maintain one-on-one focus.  Private lessons are great for all skill levels and are a great way to improve on the court faster than the standard group lessons. Teen Cardio Tennis

Ages 12+. Make friends while playing games and practicing drills, all while building endurance, burning calories, toning muscle, and improving overall health. Beginners and advanced players will have fun playing tennis to music with friends.

Piano Lessons

Take private lessons from Eric Levine, who will teach any level from beginner to advanced.  He will have you playing like Mozart in no time! Lessons are 30 minutes. Please contact Mr. Eric at 407-256-4628 to sign up for specific days and times and then pay at the Registrar before the session starts.

Guitar Lessons

In our Rockstar Academy, students can take private guitar lessons, from the fundamentals and beginnings, all the way through the classics you hear on the radio!  These weekly lessons are 30 minutes and can be private (1:1) or semi-private (1:2 or 1:3).  Contact Ron Duncan at (407) 792-9337 for scheduling and group lesson pricing.

Musical Theater Training Classes & Performance: I WANNA BE ANNIE

Grades 2-8 (Grade 1 by audition only).  Join us for a journey into the world of all things “Annie” in this hilarious spin-off of America’s favorite youth musical.  Featuring music from Annie, A Chorus Line, Legally Blonde, and other Broadway hits. Come learn from the professional teaching artists of Theatre South Playhouse.  Cast members will learn technique in our rehearsal setting focusing on proper training in acting, singing and dance.  An audition workshop will be on the first day of class, and auditions will be the second class. HaZamir: Community High School Choir

Tayarim Connect

Join 6th-8th graders throughout the community for social, Judaic and community service programs! Tayarim Connect offers positive experiences to middle school students where they can get together with camp, school, and synagogue friends, as well as meet new friends.  Tayarim Connect provides a safe space for teens to strengthen their identities, form social circles, and prepare for high school and beyond

North Florida Region BBYO

BBYO is a pluralistic youth-led organization open to all Jewish teens in the 9th through 12th grade, and offers a BBYO Connection programs for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. BBYO provides opportunities for Jewish youth to develop their leadership potential, a positive Jewish identity and commitment to their personal development. Based at The Roth Family JCC, the North Florida Region (NFR) spans from Jacksonville to the North and Ft. Myers on the South West. NFR currently has several active chapters in Orlando (four active chapters in Maitland, South Orlando and East Orlando/Oviedo), Sarasota, Tampa and Naples and is made up of unique programming for boys Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA), and B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG). J-Serve

The J-Serve Teen Task Force is a unique leadership opportunity for Jewish teens in grades 8-12. The Task Force is comprised of teens who have a desire to lead their peers in community service, representing all local Jewish youth groups. The beginning months are spent primarily on teambuilding, selecting a theme and then creating an action plan. Teens learn all aspects of event planning from marketing to fundraising and outreach to programming. Local professionals share their expertise with the Task Force and Judaic themes are thoughtfully interwoven throughout the program. Meetings are once per month from September-December and twice per month from January-April. Teens must apply and be selected to participate and limited spots are available. Contact Robby Etzkin for more information or to apply. The application will be released August 6 and the submission deadline is August 18, 2017 by 8:00pm.

Summer Camp

Camp J

Grades 6-9

Tayarim Teen Travel Camp includes exciting days at the JCC on Mondays and Fridays (including electives), local field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and community service projects around the community on Wednesdays. Plus, teens will venture off on an overnight trip outside of our JCC once per two-week session.

Grade 10

Camp J’s Leaders-in-Training Program contains 3 core components: leadership training, hands-on counselor skills guidance, and fun, social programming.  Each two-week session will focus on a new topic and the opportunity to work with different age-groups at camp.  LITs will also have the opportunity to partake in special camp electives created just for them!  Full two-week registration required.  Upon successful completion of each 2-week LIT Program, participants will receive a minimum of 45 community service hours and automatic consideration for the highly competitive Assistant Counselor positions at Camp J the following summer.
