Summer Camps - JCC - Orlando

About Camp J

Camp J provides the perfect setting for K through 10th graders to have an unplugged, authentic Jewish daycamp experience steeped in fun, growth, and adventure. Our mission at Camp J is to create a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment that allows campers to grow and explore in their own way, at their own pace. Our commitment is to provide a safe space for your children to explore, discover and lean into our J Family values infused with Ruach (spirit), Chesed (respect), Hachlalah (inclusion). We are a camp committed to excellence – in our staff, our program, our facility, and our communication.

A Camp That Grows With You

At Camp J, campers can grow into the best version of themselves in our warm and accepting community – a place where they gain confidence, resilience, and life-long friendships, with the support and guidance of our amazing camp staff. Our groups are intentionally designed to meet the unique developmental needs of each age, with new opportunities, meaningful rites of passage, and exciting programs introduced along the way.

Fun In The Sun Each Day

At Camp J, each week offers a balance of activities and group choice, providing campers with opportunities to try everything.

Campers swim twice each day with instructional lessons taught by our American Red Cross Certified Swim Instructors. Campers look forward to creative unit programs, Shabbat, Color War, and other camp-wide events, when kids can feel the excitement and ruach (spirit) of the Camp J community being all together.

Camp Programs

These programs offer a variety of activities including daily instructional and recreational swim, sports, music, arts & crafts, Israel, teva (nature), drama, ropes course and dance, as well as field trips throughout the summer. As campers get older they are encouraged to explore new areas and gain more independence.

Campers get the traditional camp activities including daily instructional and recreational swim, sports, music, arts & crafts, Israel, teva (nature), drama, ropes course and dance, as well as the opportunity to choose electives (taught by professional instructors) for one period during the day. Campers also participate in late stays and overnights.

Campers customize their own schedule and get to choose individual and group electives throughout the day. Many elective options are taught by professional instructors. Campers will also participate in recreational swim in the afternoon. Campers have overnights throughout the summer.

Our Camp Team

At Camp J, when you talk about the “camp magic,” it’s all about our staff.

The Camp J staff are loving, fun, and energetic. They work tirelessly to create a vibrant and exciting community rooted in Jewish values, and they model for our campers what it means to be confident, caring, and compassionate. Our hiring process is competitive, enabling us to hire the very best experienced team to care for our campers each summer. Before campers arrive, our staff participate in at least a full week of on-site staff training, learning and practicing the skills needed to ensure success for each individual camper. We also devote plenty of time to building our team, because the close-knit community of our staff is the foundation of our incredible Camp J culture each summer.
