Rabbi Ciner has had a distinguished career in the Pulpit Rabbinate. His first congregation was in Baltimore Maryland where he assumed the position at age 23. With its close proximity to Washington D.C., Rabbi Ciner was appointed to serve as a spokesperson regarding Jewish affairs at State Department meetings. Rabbi Ciner has been recognized by many organizations for his service to the Jewish and General Communities including the NCSY Rabbinic Leadership Award from the Orthodox Union, the Talmudic University Communal Service Award, the Jerusalem Heritage Award, the Jewish Federation Rabbinic Leadership Award, the Rabbinic leadership Award from Nishmatas well as for his service as Chairman of the Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative, for being a member of a nationally recognized Ethics Commission and for his service to the Central Ohio Boy Scouts of America.
