Youth Theatre

Get ready to take the stage and perform in the JCC’s youth theatre programs. The JCC is a great place for kids to try out theatre for the first time or continue their young theatrical careers. Our theatre programs run all year long, with theatre camps during the summer.

MAITLAND

Children’s Theatre
Our children’s theatre program provides the opportunity for young people to shine onstage and backstage in as many as three productions annually, with two during the summer, and one during the school year. Our ensemble is process-oriented, child-centered and committed to creating high quality theatre. Participants love honing their talents in a challenging but safe atmosphere, surrounded by co-actors and staff members who are like family. Center Players
Since 1980, the JCC’s Center Players have entertained thousands of theatre-goers across Central Florida, making it one of the oldest theatre companies in Orlando. The Center Players are committed to presenting plays which challenge, enlighten and entertain. Children are encouraged to audition for Center Players shows, many of which include children in the cast.

SOUTHWEST ORLANDO

Theatre South
Theatre South is a unique center for the arts housed at the JCC’s Jack & Lee Rosen Southwest Orlando Campus. At Theatre South, children learn by participation in class workshop settings, taught by professionals currently working in their field at places like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Blue Man Group. Workshops and performances take place during the school year as well as through specialty summer camps. By the way, Theatre South has many great programs for adults, too.
